albert L. (punkt) Bamboo products are handcrafted in the traditional way. Before the bamboo can be processed, it must be stored in water for several months. For this, the trunks are cut and quartered.
Clever Preparations
After drying, the bamboo pieces are split into square timbers and then divided into strips. Each strip is cut and pressed. This allows the artisans to bend the pressed strips into rings, which are then assembled into discs.
Craftsmanship
These are hammered into a bowl shape over a stone mold. The resulting raw product is filled with rice flour in several passes, primed with acrylic lacquer, and carefully sanded. This procedure is repeated 12 times.
In the end, each piece is a unique creation.
